Salt in the wound: Blunt bus tour runs over the jobless
Congressman Roy Blunt has been travelling the state in a big bus talking about jobs and the economy, but no amount of DC DoubleSpeak can hide the fact that he is part of the Congressional leadership team that ushered in the Bush Recession by running up massive debts, letting Wall Street run wild, and lavishing tax breaks on millionaires and multinational corporations. On Blunt’s watch, Missouri lost more than 100,000 manufacturing jobs, the unemployment rate skyrocketed to nearly 10 percent, and median income fell by more than $6,000.
